There’s now a monument in the Midlands of South Carolina celebrating the group of African American airmen who fought in World War II. The son of one of the Tuskegee Airmen visited the monument during a dedication ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter in honor of those from the Palmetto State.
