Bringing Light Agent Orange Awareness

posted in: Uncategorized 0

This Saturday, August 10th is Agent Orange Awareness Day.  The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) will bring light to the continuing dark toll of the war. Nearly 3 million service members served in Vietnam and most returned home. But since then, thousands of Vietnam veterans have fought illnesses related to Agent Orange exposure.

In Washington, D.C., from 7 – 9 p.m. – we’ll light up the Vietnam Veterans Memorial site in orange candlelight. We’ll go live on Facebook –https://www.facebook.com/VietnamVeteransMemorialFund – at sunset with a walkthrough of the site and end with the playing of Taps.

For the first time, this event will coincide with an event on site at The Wall That Heals. We’ll be in Penn Yan, New York where they will light the replica Wall and In Memory plaque in orange and hold a ceremony to honor those still fighting and those who have lost their battle with Agent Orange-related illnesses. We will also go live on Facebook from Penn Yan for a site walkthrough.
